Accommodation

Securing low-cost accommodation at this moment in time is difficult in Dublin due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the resultant accommodation crisis in Europe. Many of Dublin's low-cost hotels and some university accommodation blocks are being used to house temporary visitors to Ireland on a medium-term basis. Hence, we strongly suggest that all attendees at ECIR take care to secure accommodation soon, rather than waiting until closer to the conference time.

The following hotels are in close proximity to the conference venue:

  • Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 2. This is the conference hotel and is our recommended hotel.
We have negotiated a reduced rate of €187 per night at the conference hotel (Radisson Blu Royal, Dublin 2), which can be booked directly from the hotel by contacting them at +353 1 898 2900 or info.royal.dublin@radissonblu.com. You should state that you are seeking the ECIR2023 rate when booking.
  • Jury's Inn Christchurch, Dublin 2. This 3-star hotel is within five minutes walk from the conference venue and usually a lot lower priced.
  • Handel's Hotel, Fishamble Street, Dublin, 2. This 3-star hotel is also five minutes walk from the conference venue and is the lowest price conventional hotel in the area.

There are alternative lower-cost hotels within walking distance, such as the following:

Delegates can choose from any one of another hundred or so hotels on the south side of the river Liffey. Additionally there are a number of hostels in the vicinity of the conference hotel with shared-room prices from €40.

We have received a number of queries about accommodation bookings, so we wish to clarify one point. Delegates are advised that the conference registration fee does NOT include accommodation in the conference hotel. As with all previous instances of ECIR, delegates are required to organise their own accommodation at their own cost.
